Business Model Research On The "Home King"

The emergence of Internet technology is profoundly changing the domestic market competition and business model.A group of new business who access to venture capital support start a new model to participate in the domestic business sector competition,which leading to a variety of different business models coexist.In the domestic industry,Home King is a representative company in a lot of new enterprises of this business.The company was founded in March 2010 which is a professional home service booking platform.In the course of more than six years of development,Home King developed from a Xiamen local domestic service providers to a regional company,its domestic service coverage in east,central and southern China of 30 cities.In this paper,we try to answer two questions through field research and literature research,one is how the Internet technology changes the traditional domestic industry and the other is whether the Home King’s Internet model has the possibility of sustainable development.In order to answer the two questions,this paper first analyzes the industrial structure and competitive characteristics of the traditional domestic industry,which focus on the reasons leading to a high degree of decentralization of the traditional domestic industry.Secondly,we analyzes the influents that Internet technology may bring to the traditional domestic industry,and analyzes the characteristics of the current five kinds of Internet business models.Again,the article analyzes Home King’s business model and the economic logic of the model.Finally,the article analyzes the future of the development of Home King’s business model.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:First,China’s traditional domestic industry has a decentralized character;Second,the Internet has changed the traditional domestic industry from a lot of aspects,the number of Internet domestic enterprises growth rapidly;third,Home King’s Internet home business model has achieved rapid development;Fourth,in the future,the Home King’s Internet home business model will achieve sustainable expansion.The paper is organized by case and case analysis.The third chapter,the fourth chapter and the fifth chapter are the case part of the paper,which introduces the characteristics of the traditional domestic industry,the five new business models of the domestic industry and the development process of Home King’s business model.The sixth chapter is the case analysis section,which including the analysis of the traditional domestic industry structure,the impact of Internet technology analysis and Home King’s business model and its economic logic analysis.
