With the advent of 5G communication technology,the filter should achieve miniaturization,high performance and high integration.The stop-band signals of traditional filters will be reflected back to the system,causing a devastating effect on the system.In order to prevent the reflection of the stop-band signal of the traditional filter from causing unnecessary electromagnetic interference to the system,improve the electromagnetic compatibility and reliability of the system.This paper proposes a reflectionless filter.The reflectionless filter uses resistors to absorb the stop-band signal,and then dissipates it in the form of heat energy to prevent it from being reflected back to the system.Then the reflectionless filter is also called an absorption filter.Integrated passive device(Integrated Passive Device,IPD)technology,with its advantages of low cost,high performance,high integration,miniaturization,combined with reflectionless filters,can design a filter chip with excellent performance.Based on the IPD technology and the research background of the reflectionless filter,this paper studies and designs the reflectionless filter.In this paper,IPD technology is to use metal and medium to lay out the three-dimensional circuit on the semiconductor substrate,so as to realize the design of three-dimensional integrated circuit.In this paper,based on the existing topology of the reflectionless filter,the research on compounding,frequency conversion and cascading is carried out,and the IPD technology is used to perform three-dimensional electromagnetic field simulation verification in the HFSS software,and some physical objects are processed to verify it.The simulation and the measured S-curve maintain a high degree of consistency,and verify the correctness of the model structure and engineering design of the reflectionless filter.A new type of reflectionless filter topology is further proposed,and the third-order reflectionless low-pass filter is simulated and verified by 3D electromagnetic field modeling based on IPD technology,and further cascaded verification is performed.Based on the new structure,frequency conversion is carried out,and a reflectionless band-pass filter with a center frequency of 3.9GHz is designed for 5G,and the two reflectionless filters are taped out.The simulation and the measured S curve are highly consistent.Toverify the correctness of the new reflectionless filter structure and engineering design.
