With the development of network mobile payment,the bank's traditional ATM small cash business has been greatly impacted,and bank outlets need to be reformed,from the ordinary ATM business to the large deposit and withdrawal business needs.In order to improve the user experience and the bank's consideration of large-scale cash financial security,the large-value deposit and withdrawal business requires ATM to process banknotes at speeds of up to 12 sheets per second,and to store multi-spectral images of each banknote in real time.Due to the performance of the processor architecture,the traditional ATM can only process up to 8 sheets per second.At the same time,it can only upload OCR logos in real time,and it is impossible to upload all the multi-spectral large maps of banknote transactions in real time.Therefore,the research of high-performance ATM machine banknote image acquisition system has great theoretical significance and practical application value.In view of the above situation,this paper proposes the overall design of the banknote image acquisition system based on Altera's SoC FPGA processor.Utilizing the characteristics of the SoC FPGA architecture,the hardware and software framework of the banknote image acquisition system was re-planned,the FPGA-side logic resources realized CIS image acquisition and calibration,and the HPS side realized the banknote image acquisition process and USB using the embedded Linux system multi-threading technology.Real-time upload image function,using high-speed interconnect AXI bus to achieve communication between different architectures and multiple cores.Finally,the paper conducted a software and hardware joint test on the entire banknote image acquisition system.This paper uses the RMB and US dollars as samples to test,using the same company's existing image processing algorithm library,compared with the traditional DSP+FPGA architecture.The image collected by the ATM machine banknote image acquisition system based on the SoC FPGA system design has high definition of image.The resolution is high,the system collection speed is fast,the image acquisition system is stable,the banknote processing speed reaches 14 sheets per second,and the USB real-time uploading multi-spectral image function of each transaction banknote is realized.The system described in this paper has passed the “Finacial Standard” certification of the People's Bank of China,and has been tested and put into use through multiple bank outlets.
