Taking the public discourse of Toutiao.com from March 2012 to June 2018 as a research sample,with"metajournalistic discourse"and"technical drama"as theoretical resources,this study explores attitudes towards Toutiao.com from different actors,and this paper analyzes the relationship between Toutiao.com and journalistic field in China.The basic finding is that Toutiao.com is experiencing a process of spatial change from "journalistic ecosystem" to "journalistic field".This process is neither the active design of Toutiao.com nor the production of external forces,but the result of long-term interaction and game between Toutiao.com and other actors.In 2012,Toutiao.com joint news communication area as "native technologists" with using "Algorithm Recommendation Mechanism(ARM)".The pattern of Toutiao.com was highly similar with "journalistic ecosystem," in western journalism studies because Toutiao.com refused to abide by the rules of the journalism and did not consider itself as media.Therefore,there had been a series of collisions between Toutiao.com and the original journalistic field.State power,the news industry and the public had all participated in the discussion and regulation of Toutiao.com and promoted Toutiao.com to abandon the "value-free"statement,shouldered the responsibility of interpretative community and became a member of the Chinese journalistic field.
