When the digital beamforming technique is introduced into the array antenna,the direction and beampattern can be controlled flexibly with nulling capability in interference direction.In communication system,the digital beamforming technique can increase the communication capacity and improve the performance of anti-jamming.In this paper,a verification system of the smart antenna and a to-Ground communication smart antenna system is designed and verified continuously under the background of to-Ground Communication System's development.Firstly,in order to verify the performance of the key techniques employed by the to-Ground Communication System,a smart antenna verification system has been developed.The wide capture nulling beampattern,high gain of track nulling beampattern are both conducted in FPGA and DSP with the rapid spatial temporal DOA matrix method.The 3D-beampattem of wide capture beampattern and beampattern nulling,track beampattern and beampattem nulling are measured in the microwave anechoic chamber.The angle estimation of user and interference is also fully evaluated.Secondly,to-Ground Communication System introducing smart antenna are further proceeded after the verification of the key techniques.A hardware system is designed.The wide capture nulling beampattern,high gain of multi-user track nulling beampattern and angle estimation of user and interference are realized on this hardware system under the requirements of the project.The good performance of anti-jamming and the improvement of communication quality of the whole to-Ground Communication System is verified with adequate tests.
