A Study On The Entertainment Network Talk Show "Qihua Shuo" From The Perspective Of Narratology

The TV talk show was born in the United States in the 1950s and introduced into China in the early 1990s.This kind of TV program,which has many classifications of both content and forms,has been fully developed domestically and also gained the attention and preference of the audience.In the "Internet Age",talk show has reconciled with online media and brought up new development.One of the fruits is the entertainment online talk show Let's Talk,which is a phenomenal program in recent years and has received the attention and praise both from audiences and experts.In media culture market,which combines the channel with content deeply,the ability of narration has gradually been noticed by various platforms."How to tell good stories" is very important for the development of content industry.Therefore,if we conduct a comprehensive analysis of high-quality programs from the perspective of narratology and find out universal laws and experiences,it will be of theoretical and marketing value.From the view of narratology,with the method of literature analysis and content analysis,this paper systematically observes and analyzes the internal composition and structure of the show to study its narrative characteristics.The dimensions of the analysis are:the narrative subject,the narrative content,the way of narration and the artistic expression of the narrative.Combined with relevant information and research,this article presents and summarizes that the narrative strategy of Let's Talk is restrained by four factors:policy guidance,advertisers' involvement,audiences' interest and online communication environment.Moreover,under comprehensive analysis the show has also three general shortcomings:long program flow,excessive stirring debate,with potential ambiguity in position,deliberate and utilitarian debate which may cause distortion of value output.Meanwhile,we notice that Let's Talk has made many new attempts and explorations in the following aspects:innovation of program forms,topics out of big data,diverse personas,flexible editing methods,and organic integration of art expressions.For the peers,these above are highly worthy of reference.
