With the development of modern wireless communication technology,the requirements for microwave circuit performance are getting higher and higher,while the the demand for stability,miniaturization and low cost is also increasing.Microwave power divider/coupler(simplified as power divider)is one of the important and necessary passive divices in microwave system,which is now widely used in power dividing network,power amplifier with power combining,and so on.There are some disadvantages in the existing power dividers,such as the fixed frequency band or narrow tunable band,limited power capacity,and the large size of circuits.New types of power divider is analyzed and designed respectively from these aspects in this paper,including the realization of miniaturized wideband power divider,the improvement of adjustable frequency range in microstrip power divider,and the enhancement of power capacity in power divider based on SIW structure.The main research work is as follows:1.The miniaturized wideband power divider with microstrip structure:The proposed wideband Wilkinson power divider realizes the miniaturization design.With the use of two section impedance transformer and two short stubs connected to output ports,a miniaturized wideband power divider with microstrip structure is presented,while all ports are matched and output ports are isolated from each other during the relative bandwidth of 100%.The power divider also realizes the phase balance and miniaturization.2.The wideband frequency-tunable power divider with microstrip structure:The proposed microstrip unequal power divider realizes the function of frequency tunable contiuously in broadband.With the use of tunable equivalent transmission line based on varactor,a frequency tunable power divider in broadband with microstrip structure is presented,while all ports are matched and output ports are isolated from each other under different working conditions.The power divider also realizes the phase balance and unequal power dividing ratio.3.The SIW Gysel power divider:An improved SIW Gysel power divider is proposed.The SIW is realized by using the metal welting instead of metal hole.The two output ports are parallel to the matching ports respectively,while the slotting structure is adopted on the bottom side of matching ports to reduce the energy leakage.All ports are matched and output ports are isolated from each other in the SIW Gysel power divider,while a wide band is realized at the same time.4.The HMSIW Gysel power divider:A miniaturized HMSIW Gysel power divider is proposed.Based on the traditional Gysel power divider,a new HMSIW Gysel power divider is proposed,which uses the SIW structure in input port,the HMSIW structure in two output ports,and the microstrip line structure in two isolation ports.Then,the bandwidth of the HMSIW Gysel power divider is improved by adding two microstrip isolation ports between the output ports,while the matching and isolation are achieved in a wide band.
