With the development of radar technology,multiple input multiple output(MIMO)radar has drawn much attention.The optimization of angle estimation algorithm is the key technology to improve the performance of MIMO radar parameter estimation and target detection.Therefore,the study of angle estimation algorithm becomes a hotspot.This paper mainly studies the angle estimation problem of MIMO radar.Firstly,four typical algorithms for estimating the angle of subspace are introduced.Select multiple signal classification(MUSIC)algorithm and estimating signal parameters viarotational invariance techniques(ESPRIT)estimation algorithm which has high accuracy of angle estimation as the research object.Then for the problem of the reduction of the angular resolution caused by the peak fusion of space-time spectra of single-base MIMO radar with similar target angles,a First Order Derivative-MUSIC(FOD-MUSIC)algorithm based on first-order derivation is proposed.When the multi-objective angles are similar,its performance is obviously better than the traditional MUSIC algorithm;next,the algorithm is generalized to joint DOA-DOD angle estimation of bistatic MIMO radar.A paired Projection Derivative-MUSIC(PD-MUSIC)algorithm and a second-order MUSIC(Second Order Gradient-MUSIC)algorithm are proposed.The simulation results show that compared with the traditional MUSIC algorithm,the two new algorithms not only maintain the advantages of high-angle estimation accuracy,but also have higher multi-target angular resolution;Finally,the DOA-DOD joint estimation algorithm is studied.For the classic ESPRIT algorithm without pairing and RD-MUSIC algorithm,in the case of multi-objective and some of the target DO As being the same,a problem of DOD error estimation will be brought forward.A new joint DOA-DOD estimation algorithm based on fast pairing and rotation invariant techniques is proposed.The algorithm can optimize the ESPRIT algorithm without pairing and the RD-MUSIC algorithm separately,and effectively solve the above problems while retaining the accuracy of the original angle estimation.
