With the rapid development of network and cloud computing,desktop virtualization,as one of the core technologies of cloud computing,has been promoting the development of virtual desktops.Compared with the traditional desktop,the advantage is that the virtual desktop can provide users with the desktop office environment anytime and anywhere,on the other hand,it can provide a safe and centralized management mode for the enterprise,and reduce the operation and maintenance cost of the enterprise.Now,many vendors develop their own set of desktop virtualization solutions,where SPICE Desktop virtualization is a Red Hat company's open source of virtual desktop products.But the virtual desktop is limited by the network bandwidth,graphics processing and other factors,the user's experience has yet to be improved.In this thesis,a virtual desktop solution combining SPICE protocol and OpenStack Cloud Platform is proposed through the research of SPICE protocol.The specific research contents are as follows:(1)This thesis analyzes the current mainstream transmission protocols and the key factors affecting the performance of desktop transmission,and selects the SPICE protocol with better comprehensive effect(2)The SPICE Framework and its core technology are studied in detail,and the video compression algorithm in SPICE has a great impact on the performance of virtual desktops.(3)The video compression algorithm in SPICE is improved,and the compression of video is realized by using the H.264 coding compression algorithm with high compression rate.(4)Research and analyze the compression technology of H.264,and reduce the complexity of H.264 intra-frame and inter-prediction modes to better utilize the high compression ratio in SPICE.(5)Build OpenStack cloud Platform,detailed description of virtual desktop implementation process.Then the virtual desktop for functional and performance testing,performance test records before and after the optimization of video playback of the network traffic,the data into the Highcharts plug-in to make a chart comparison to optimize the video before and after the consumption of network traffic.There are many factors that affect desktop performance in the virtual desktop based on SPICE protocol,and through the improvement of SPICE video compression algorithm and multiple tests,it is proves that the optimized video scene greatly reduces the demand for bandwidth,while improving the desktop performance and the user's experience of the virtual desktop.
