The core literacy of information technology includes information awareness, computing thinking, digital learning and innovation, and information social responsibility. As one of the four core qualities of information technology, computational thinking has become the thinking ability that middle school students must have.Algorithm and program design is the core content of computing thinking and information technology. In the process of designing programs, students' algorithm thinking and logic thinking have been cultivated, and students have sequenced and logically obtained information. Therefore, designing algorithms and programs can cultivate students' computing thinking. The goal of the first mock exam of algorithm and programming is to understand basic programming statements, understand the basic ideas of program design, and solve simple problems. However, due to the difficulty in learning and programming, the teaching of this module is still facing challenges, and it is also lacking in training students' Computational Thinking. In recent years, the emergence of graphical programming tools has greatly reduced the difficulty of programming, which also provides new ideas for the teaching of algorithms and the cultivation of computational thinking.Based on this, the first mock exam is used to teach the algorithm and program design.A teaching framework of algorithm and program design based on Computational Thinking is put forward and practiced in high school information technology class. The experiment object selects two classes of senior one of a high school in Nanjing, and compares the development of students' Computational Thinking in the two classes by using graphical programming tools and traditional code programming tools, which initially proves that the use of graphical programming tools for algorithm teaching is conducive to promoting the cultivation of middle school students' computational thinking.
