| Parenting education is mainly targeted at parents to enhance consciousness of parents’ role,improve parents’ parenting skills and abilities,reduce children’s problem behaviors,establish good parent-child relationships,and promote the development of children,families and society.Driven by the era of the knowledge economy,the needs of educational change and the countries’ need to pursue harmony and stability,countries around the world have begun to attach importance to the development of parenting education.In order to solve the problem of anti-social behavior,promote child development and social stability,follow the development trend of the world,the United Kingdom implements the Parenting Early Intervention Programme.Using the methods of literature analysis,case study,and comparative research,the purpose of this thesis is to explore the development and characteristics of the Parenting Early Intervention Programme,summarize its useful experience,and provide feasible suggestions for the development of parenting programs and parenting education in China.The main body of this thesis is divided into five parts.First,it sorts out the development and current situation of parenting education in the UK,traces the background of the Parenting Early Intervention Programme,and elaborates the process of the program’s preparing,start,and promotion in detail.Second,it introduces four sub-programs of the Parenting Early Intervention Programme,including Incredible Years,Strengthening Families10-14 Programme,The Triple P-Positive Parenting Program and Strengthening Families Strengthening Communities,discuss objectives,contents,applicable groups,implementation methods and teaching materials of each program and analyzes common characteristics of these programs.Besides,it explains the investment of the Parenting Early Intervention Programme.Taking the Parenting Early Intervention Programme:Guidance for Local Authorities and Every child matters Onion as examples,this thesis analyzes the central government’s policy guidance.Then,based on the official website of Strengthening Family,Strengthening Community,expanding schools and National Academy for Parenting Practitioners,this thesis expounds the feasible ways of online implementation and introduces some important institutions of offline implementation,exploring ways to implement the Parenting Early Intervention Programme deeply.Finally,it analyzes the implementation effect of the Parenting Early Intervention Programme,summarizes the characteristics of this program,discusses some practice and problems of parenting education in China,and put forward the enlightenment of the UK to China. |
