| With the rise of positive psychology, the focus of organizational behavior on employee variables has shifted from negative issues such as job burnout to positive factors such as work engagement.Improving work engagement is beneficial to the income and self-efficacy of employees and the overall performance of the organization. And as women’s share of the labor market continues to rise, there are more dual-earner couples. They live in an increasingly diverse social environment. As a result,work-family balance has come to the attention of researchers and managers in recent years. With the increasing pressure of competition and the social emphasis on education, the parenting pressure borne by dual-earner couples also deserves attention. So how to let the staff rationally use the social resources in the family and the organization, with a positive attitude to deal with the problem of good parenting, mental health into the work?Family and organization are the two most important social environments for dual-earner couples, and employees and parents are their extremely important social roles. There may be conflict between roles, but social resources may also flow among family members. Therefore, from the perspective of work-family balance, combined with the conservation of resources theory(COR theory),this paper selects social well-being,a variable formed by the interaction between individual characteristics and the environment,as the independent variable, and discusses the mechanism of social well-being on work engagement and the moderating effect of parental pressure according to the actor-partner interdependence model. In this study, the Chinese version of work engagement scale revised by Zhang Jingwen and Gan Yiqun(2005),Cheung(2000)revised PSS,and Miao Yuanjiang revised Chinese version of social well-being scale were used to issue matching questionnaires to earned couples in Jilin,Jiangsu,Beijing and other places, which were required to be completed by the husband and wife together.A total of 860 questionnaires were issued and 860 were recovered.845 valid.Through statistical analysis, the results are as follows:(1)There is a significant positive correlation between the social well-being of dual-career couples and their own and their spouses’ work input; There was a significant negative correlation between parental stress and social well-being of oneself and spouse. There was a significant negative correlation between parental stress and work engagement of oneself and spouse.(2)The wives’ and the husbands’ social well-being significantly positively predicted their own and their spouse’s work engagement, the actor effect and the partner effect were both significant.(3)Both husbands’ and wives’ parental pressure significantly moderating the actor effect of wife’s social well-being on wife’s work engagement; The positive actor effect of social well-being on job engagement was more obvious in the wives with lower parental pressure. The positive subject effect of wife’s social well-being on job engagement was more obvious in the wives with lower spouse parental pressure. Therefore,I conclude that social well-being will affect the individual’s and their spouse’s level of work engagement; In addition, women’s social well-being’s influence on work engagement is related to parental pressure. Finally, according to the research conclusion, suggestions are put forward from three aspects: individual, spouse and organization. |
