The "General Senior Middle School Geography Curriculum Standard" takes the cultivation of core literacy of geography as the overall goal,which marks the deepening and development of curriculum reform.Regional cognition is one of the core literacy of geographic disciplines,and the essential element for the formation of regional cognition literacy is the ability to map.In geography teaching,maps are an important tool for learning geography.Having strong map capabilities is undoubtedly of great significance.This article starts with the current research status,research significance,research ideas and methods at home and abroad,defines related concepts,elaborates the structure of map abilities and regional cognitive abilities,the types of maps,and establishes the theoretical basis of the research;through questionnaires and interviews,Conducted surveys and interviews with some students and teachers,analyzed the survey results,and found out the main reasons affecting the ability of high school students to map;in view of the problems summarized by the survey,based on the formation of regional cognitive literacy,a map of high school students was proposed Corresponding countermeasures for capacity development: Teachers and students develop together to improve the awareness of maps;optimize the teaching mode and strive for diversification of teaching methods;deepen the reform of map teaching and improve regional cognitive literacy;reflected in: Teach the ability to read maps,develop regional positioning capabilities;cultivate map analysis capabilities,strengthen regional analysis literacy;improve map contrast capabilities,enhance cognitive regional connections and differential literacy;improve map contrast capabilities,enhance cognitive regional connections and differential literacy;enhance connections Practical ability to strengthen the ability of regional development and evaluation.Finally,the shortcomings and prospects of the paper are pointed out.It is hoped that the research in this thesis can provide reference and reference for the majority of high school geography teachers in the cultivation of students' regional cognitive literacy.
