The problem of overburdened learning among elementary school students in China is not uncommon.This problem not only hinders the vigorous development of basic education,but also adversely affects the physical and mental health of elementary school students.The overburden of elementary school students ’learning means that the actual burden of learning that students bear is seriously exceeding the requirements of the curriculum standards for primary school subjects,and it does not meet the standards for primary school students’ burden-relief measures issued by the Ministry of Education.This issue is not only an education issue,but also a social issue.From the perspective of sociology,how to effectively reduce the overburden of primary school students’ learning and make them grow up healthily and happily is a problem that is widely concerned by all sectors of society.Therefore,the sociological analysis of primary students’ overburdened learning has important theoretical and practical significance.In order to explore the problem of overburdened learning of primary school students from the perspective of sociology,this study collected previous research results on related issues and conducted in-depth interviews with some students,teachers,and parents of three primary schools in Q City through a literature review method and interview methods.,Understand the real phenomenon of primary school students ’overburden of learning,analyze the reasons,and put forward some suggestions for solving the problem of primary school students’ overburden of learning.First of all,this paper divides the types of primary school students’ learning burden into two categories according to the places where the students bear the learning burden: on-campus burden and off-campus burden.Among them,the burden on the school includes the burden within the curriculum standard and the burden outside the curriculum standard.The burden on the outside school includes the burden on the parents’ independence and the burden on the extracurricular tutoring classes.Secondly,on the basis of referring to the relevant materials of reducing the burden of primary school students in China,some phenomena of excessive learning burden of primary school students are found through interviews: after-school services evolved into classroom learning;the total amount of written assignments seriously exceeded the standards issued;teaching evaluation relied heavily on examinations;There are many teaching aids;the burden of learning outside the school.Thirdly,this article analyzes the reasons for the overload of primary school students from the perspective of sociology,and categorizes the reasons for the overload of primary school students into the following four aspects: the primary school enters the advancement state in advance;the diplomaticization of vertical social mobility;social comparison of parents Transformation of pressure;uneven distribution of educational resources.Finally,based on the analysis of the phenomenon and causes of the overburden of primary school students,this article proposes solutions to the problem of the overburden of primary school students: follow the law of physical and mental development of students,ease the pressure on entering the school;broaden the channels of promotion and promote vertical social mobility;Pay attention to the functions of parent schools and relieve the pressure of parents’ society;optimize the allocation of educational resources and narrow the differences between schools.
