" Ordinary high school biology curriculum standards( experimental)," issued by the Ministry of Education in 2003, pointed out that biology teaching should " focus on contact with real life." On biology characteristics of its own, it is a natural science comes from life, biological knowledge is used in daily life and social production everywhere. Under the background of this, life-oriented teaching is constantly used by biology teacher. Using this kind of teaching methods to enhance the students’ practical ability to build efficient classroom. It also makes more teaching workers increase the attention of life-oriented teaching.In this paper, the author described the current situation of teaching life at home and abroad, then read the education theory. On this basis, part of high school students and all of the teachers acted as research object, studied the status of rural life teaching high school biology using questionnaires and interviews. Summarizing the results of the investigation, sorted out the existing problems in biology teaching. Questions as follows:(1) the teaching concept to master is not deep.( 2) Superficial life teaching. Just for a lively atmosphere, students do not really learn the knowledge and ability.( 3) Teachers have much more limit in using the data contaced with reality.( 4) Our life-oriented teaching strategies can only be presented on language or multimedia, it is lack of practical life. To solve these problems, the author put five recommendations and countermeasures:( 1) Suggested that schools increase the construction of teachers, so teachers do much more training courses.( 2) Do much more communication with students, it can promote the friendship between the teacher and the students, it is beneficial to the impement of life-oriented teaching.( 3) Pay attention to the introduction of classroom examples and teaching content and curriculum goals coincide.( 4) Group would try to carry out extra-curricular activities.( 5) Strengthen the construction of the school’s teaching equipment.At the same time, this study enumerates the biological compulsory teaching material "cancer cell" and "ecological system the information transfer" two teaching cases, and analyzes the case, shows the whole process of life teaching.
