The history of life science is not only the history of scientific research since ancient times, but also the history of scientists thought. It shows us many aspects of scientific research such as the trend of the development of scientific theory, the course of scientists study, the methods of scientific research, the life of scientists, scientific attitude and scientific spirit and so on. It also has double function of scientific education and humanistic education. In our country,"ordinary high school biology course standard"(test) also put forward that the history of life science learning should be paid more attention, the life history of science education was also used to cultivate students’ ability of scientific research and methods of research. Enhancing the scientific literacy of students has an important role in promoting the implementation of our quality education.Teaching material is still the center position in the education, it is the link of educators and the educated, this paper uses three required materials of "the ordinary high school curriculum standard experimental textbook biological" which was issued in January2007by the Chinese people education press and the history of life science in the three materials of the mainstream American high school science teaching material "science finder-the power of biology life" which was wrote by Alton Biggs as the research target, through the comparative study of the two objects in number, subject,modes of presentation, and plates,it shows that there are both similarities and differences between them. In the American teaching materials, there is a larger amount of the history of life science, the theme is more close to real life, and pay more attention to the cultivation of the scientific method. There are more than ten kinds of the modes of presentation, such as the timeline "biology and history", the interdisciplinary integration, the biological science and technology, the biological science and society, the text and so on. The plates are more clear and bright. In the Chinese teaching materials, there is a larger average quantity of the history of life science and plates, it pay more attention to the complete presentation of classic life science history, the scientists’ life experience, the life science history of scientific inquiry, There are seven kinds of the modes of presentation, such as the data analysis, the story of scientists, STS. science frontier, and the text. By comparison, seeks the development, continue to carry forward the advantages of teaching materials, and at the same time improve the deficiency of the teaching materials to make the teaching materials more suitable for learning and teaching.In the teaching of the history of life science, we can use pictures to create the teaching situation of the history of life science, use the history of life science materials to enrich classroom and extracurricular activities, and increase the chance of practice. In the revision and improvement of teaching materials in the future, we can further select the content of the history of life science, choose the theme close to the living of students, improve the quality of the plates and the teaching materials, to provide students more practical opportunities by the history of life science of scientific inquiry.This paper also puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies and implementation proposal from theoretical preliminary according to the history of life science, the writer also hope that this article can provide some reference for the biology teacher in middle school and then realize more mature education of the history of life science as soon as possible in the high school biology teaching through all parties work together and the cooperation and the endeavor of all parties in educational circles, and then makes the values of the history of life science education can be really implemented.
