The sequence of numbers occupies a very important position in the middle school mathematics,and it has certain embodiment in every aspect.Besides,it occupies a whole chapter in the textbooks of high school.Sequence of number contains not only abundant critical mathematical thinking ways,but also shows an indispensable position in our daily life.In other words,mathematics comes from life and is applied to it.Integrating the history of mathematics into the teaching of mathematics has already become a significant research direction.With the deepening of the study,it is the application of mathematical history in mathematical education that brings theory to practice gradually.But in practical teaching,this idea is difficult to carry out in teaching practice because of the examination-oriented education,heavy workload of teachers and lack of historical data of mathematics.The paper bases on the requirements from the curriculum standard and mainly adopts the approach of literature research method and action research method which is in the view of HPM and takes "Arithmetic progression" and "Summation of geometric sequence" as teaching design cases.The research objects are the students who come from a certain high school and they have been arranged for two related lessons.After that,the teachers and students were investigated by means of questionnaires and interviews.Finally,the results were reflected and summarized.Based on the analysis of classroom video,questionnaires and interviews,the following conclusions are drawn:1.For students: it can help students explore the development and deepen the understanding of knowledge,stimulate their interest in learning,and learn more about facts and scientists at all times and in all countries to broaden their horizons.2.For teachers: similarly,it's helpful for teachers to reinforce the understanding of this subject,to improve their professional quality,to strengthen their knowledge,and motivate their teaching enthusiasm as well.All in all,the aim is to diversify the teaching means and build high-quality and efficient teaching.
