Since the new curriculum reform,the requirement for the ability of independent inquiry and knowledge application for students has become higher and higher,more and more educators pay attention to changing the traditional teaching methods.While the knowledge of sequence is an important part of mathematics curriculum in senior high school,it is also the focus and hotspot of mathematics examination in college entrance examination and often as a finale comprehensive test students' problem solving ability and logical thinking ability and occupies a higher score in college entrance examination mathematics.But after the new curriculum reform,many older teachers still adopt the traditional teaching mode because of the less class hours,more knowledge points and wide scope.Students can not really understand the concept and are confused when they encounter problems.The application of APOS theory in the teaching of sequence concepts and exercise aims to cultivate the interest of students in learning,enable them to have a profound understanding of mathematical concepts and flexible application,avoid the excessive assignments tactic.Through the learning efficiency for students are improved,and the academic performance are enhanced.In the existing literature,researches on the sequence knowledge either focus on conceptual theory or problem solving.The article according to APOS theory from two aspects of the concept and problem solving design teaching and exercise case,students are expected to improve their ability to solve problems and improve their learning efficiency while deepening their understanding of mathematical concepts.Firstly,through design the questionnaire survey of learning situation and cognitive ability for high school students that we know the problems and difficulties are faced by the students in the learning series and the influence of teaching methods for teachers on students.Secondly,the literature review method is used to understand the research status of APOS theory and sequence teaching at home and abroad.Finally,the designs of the concept teaching and the typical test case about sequence knowledge according to the APOS theory combined with the knowledge of mathematics history are aimed to provide a reference for teachers and provide effective help for students.
