With the rapid development of the global economy and the vigorous feminist movement,the female labor participation rate has increased year by year,and the women in the senior management team have also risen rapidly.They have contributed their strength to all aspects of the social development process and have shown the ability to not be underestimated.However,women’s promotion path in the workplace has obvious bottlenecks,and the mismatch between work ability and position has finally led to the waste of human resources.At the same time,along with economic development,enterprises have also experienced financial scandals and various security incidents,which have brought huge impacts to all groups of society,and also promoted the concept of corporate social responsibility to the public opinion.The implementation of corporate social responsibility is inextricably linked with the corporate governance field.The structural characteristics of the senior management team can profoundly affect corporate governance,and thus will have an important impact on the level of corporate social responsibility.This paper explores in detail how the level of corporate social responsibility performance is influenced by the gender characteristics of senior managers and the path effect of the internal control level of enterprises in this process.The sample interval selected in this paper is from 2009 to 2016.The sample source is the non-financial enterprise listed on the A-share market of Shanghai and Shenzhen.This paper first constructs a three-step economic model to test the mediating effect,and conducts a detailed test and in-depth analysis of the model,and explores the relationship between the performance of corporate social responsibility and the women in the executive team,and analyzes the intermediary path effect exerted by the internal control environment of the enterprise.In addition,according to the degree of marketization in the region where the enterprise is located and the property rights of the actual controllers of the enterprise,this paper examines the impact of different levels of economic development and the nature of heterogeneous property rights on the impact of female executives on corporate social responsibility,and draws the following conclusions : First,the presence of women in the corporate executive team can motivate companies to fulfill their social responsibilities at a high level.The higher the proportion of female executives,the more obvious this promotion effect.Second,the internal control of enterprises is in female executives.In the process of promoting the implementation of corporate social responsibility,the intermediary effect was exerted.Thirdly,according to the marketization level of the region in which the enterprise is located,it was found that regardless of the degree of marketization,female managers significantly improved the level of corporate social responsibility.Internal control has played a mediating role in this promotion process.Fourth,according to the nature of the actual controllers,it is found that female executives in state and government-controlled enterprises have significantly promoted the level of corporate social responsibility,regardless of the nature of property rights.How,internal control plays a mediating role in this process,and the mediating effect in non-state-owned enterprises is a complete mediating effect.All models in the paper have been tested for robustness to ensure scientific and predictive results.This study explores the role of women in management teams and reveals the ways in which female executives influence corporate social responsibility and the intermediary path of internal control.Enlighten us to further develop an inclusive and diverse corporate culture,to provide useful support for women’s development in the workplace,but also to pay attention to the interaction between the internal control environment and corporate social responsibility,so that it is more efficient Good operation at the level,thus promoting the healthy and orderly development of the whole society.
