Mind Map Preparation To Promote The Development Of Teachers' Teaching Design Ability

For any school,the key point of the training of beginning teachers and the regular teaching and research activities is to improve teachers' ability of teaching and design.How to improve the ability of instructional design is always been the focus of teachers' professional development.Many researches on the influencing factors of teaching quality show that the teaching ability of teachers varies from person to person,which is an important factor considering affecting teaching quality.In recent years,many teaching quality researchers have regarded mind mapping as an effective teaching tool.At the same time,the research on mind mapping has become a hot spot in teaching research.However,after conducting literature research and analyzing the role of mind mapping in teaching,the author found that few scholars consider teachers as the main body of research.In addition,the overall number of research on mind mapping has been rise in recent two years,while the research of treating mind mapping as a tool to prepare lessons is rarer.Based on the above findings,the author focuses on whether preparing lessons based on mind mapping could improve teachers'ability of teaching and design.Firstly,several teachers of a primary school in Jiangning District of Nanjing were selected as the research objects during experiment.Some methods such as Questionnaire survey,single-group experiment and semi-structured interview were used to carry out the experiment.In order to ensure the progress of the experiment,some proper intervention was carried out during the experiment.In a word,this study would investigate the influence of use mind mapping when preparing lessons on ability of teaching and design through qualitative and quantitative data.Meanwhile providing relevant suggestions to the use of preparing lesson based on mind mapping,in order to find a new and effective way for teachers to prepare lessons.The results show that the use of mind mapping can improve the teaching design ability from the aspects of learner's analytical ability,teaching goal compilation ability,teaching content reorganization ability,teaching process design ability,teaching strategy selection ability and teaching evaluation and reflection ability,which could promote the development of teachers' ability of teaching and design.The effect of mind map preparation on teachers' teaching design ability is not obvious,which needs further tracking and exploration.However,after preparing lessons by mind mapping,overall layout and logical structure are clearer and more intuitive,teaching links are connected smoothly with a sense of integrity and rhythm.The teaching methods are flexible and diverse,and they pay more attention to the learning state and effect of students.All these aspects have changed significantly.This paper is arranged as follows:The first part is the introduction,which briefly introduces the research background of this paper,that is,to define and clarify the concepts of mind mapping,teacher preparation for lessons,teacher preparation for lessons using mind mapping and teachers' ability of teaching and design respectively.In addition,it also includes significance,problem,content,process and methods of the research.The second chapter is an overview of the relevant research.It not only arranges the research on the application modes and function of thinking guidance in teaching and the dimension division of ability of teaching and design,but also summarizes the evaluation scales of mind mapping and ability of teaching and design,so as to provide reference for the relevant scales and questionnaires in this study.Moreover,the influence of existing research to this study is also clarified.Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 are the key chapters of this paper.In chapter 3,the research purpose,research object,research tools and research implementation process of this study are introduced.In Chapter 4,the qualitative and quantitative data collected in the research process is analyzed and the results are discussed.The last chapter is the conclusion,shortcomings and prospects.Before putting forward the methods for post-study,based on the analysis of the results,the conclusions are drawn,and the shortcomings and limitations in this study are also clearly recognized.
