Artificial intelligence is recognized as a strategic technology that leads the future development and is a new focus of international competition.Programming is the foundation of the artificial intelligence industry,it's very important.In the era of artificial intelligence,programming is equivalent to the machine of the industrial age.Therefore,the government has successively issued various guidelines and policies,requiring programming education in primary and secondary schools.At present,most primary and secondary schools in China involve programming teaching in the teaching of information technology courses.However,in the programming teaching of senior high school in China,the most commonly used is the VB programming language.In the VB programming language,the syntax is very important,the course content is mostly the explanation of theoretical knowledge.Due to the lack of knowledge related to computer hardware,it's very difficult for students to understand the teaching content,resulting in students' lacking interest and motivation in learning,and the teaching results is poor.The gamification programming platform enables students to learn the original boring programming in a relaxed and enjoyable process such as playing games,which can achieve "education and fun",improve students'interest and enthusiasm in learning,enhance the teaching effect of the programming course,and thus improve the students' programming ability.This paper reviews the current development of gamification programming teaching at home and abroad,and analyzes the learning characteristics of the students of senior high school.Through the questionnaire survey,the problems existing in the programming teaching in the senior high school are analyzed,and the feasibility and necessity of using the gamification programming platform in the programming teaching in the senior high school are proposed.In this study,students from three classes of the first grade of the High School Affiliated to Shaanxi Normal University were selected as the research object,and the gamification programming platform CodeCombat was applied to the teaching practice.Through the investigation of students'learning effects and sense of learning after using the CodeCombat programming platform,the teaching effect of the CodeCombat is analyzed.The study found that CodeCombat is popular with students for its gamified teaching platform and easy-to-learn Python programming language.With the CodeCombat programming teaching platform,students can stimulate their interest in learning,students' enthusiasm is higher,the classroom learning atmosphere is better,and the teaching effect is better.
