This study mainly uses questionnaire and interview method to investigate the status quo of the peer social ability and approaches to learning of the children ages 4 to 5 in kindergartens.Furthermore,the study analyzes the relationship of social ability and learning approaches among peers in kindergartens,and the various dimension relations between them.Then,it summarizes the possible types of expression which could exist between them.The study aims to provide reasonable suggestions for educators and parents,in order to promote peer social ability and approaches to learning of children.Through analysis,the following conclusions listed below can be drawn in this study:(1)The overall development level of peer social ability of the children ages 4 to 5 in kindergartens is high.(2)The overall development level of approaches to learning of the children ages 4 to 5 in kindergartens is high.(3)On the whole,the peer social ability and approaches to learning of children aged 4 to 5 in kindergartens were significantly positively correlated in each dimension.(4)The development level of peer social ability of children aged 4 to 5 can predict the development level of their approaches to learning to a certain extent.(5)There are four combination performance types of peer social ability and approaches to learning of children,which are low-low,high-high,low-high and high-low,but the proportion of them is different.
