| In the 21 st century,due to the change of technical tools and the rapid development of society,it poses great challenges to the cultivation of students’ ability and quality.STEM education has emerged in the process and is welcomed by various countries.Compared with other countries,the United States,the earliest countries piloting,implementing,and practicing STEM education,has relatively mature STEM curriculum models.This paper sorts out the relevant theories and maturity models of the five dimensions of curriculum standards,curriculum design,curriculum content,curriculum and curriculum implementation of STEM education courses in American primary and secondary school.And selects five excellent primary and secondary curriculum cases that are strictly based on curriculum design.The STEM education course cases are analyzed through the five dimensions of curriculum standards,curriculum design,course content,curriculum setting,and curriculum implementation.I get five characteristics of the STEM curriculum in American primary and secondary schools,which are the STEM curriculum objectives strictly based on the curriculum standards,The STEM curriculum design method and course content of the reverse course design are close to life,having far-reaching significance and comprehensive use of multiple curriculum implementation modes,The classroom implementation is based on students’ “learning by doing”.Focusing on the five characteristics of the students’ STEM literacy training,based on the analysis and results of the course cases,combined with the literature,the paper has concluded from the five aspects of curriculum standards,curriculum design,curriculum content and curriculum that the STEM courses at the elementary school have some inspirations: constructing and improving the STEM education curriculum standards,including the construction of the three-dimensional domain objectives under the STEM education curriculum,the establishment of a coherent,articulated STEM segment,and the training of teachers to learn STEM curriculum;Choose the appropriate course content,including the content of the course,the life-oriented,expansive course content,and establish a meaningful knowledge connection with the basic subject;flexible use of a variety of course design methods,including the use of "5E teaching method " To standardize the curriculum design,using the "story line" method to string a series of courses,adopting the reverse course design to achieve the fit of the course standard and the content;taking the student as the main body and enrich the curriculum,which includes actively integrating technology into the STEM course,In any form of curriculum,we must pay attention to cultivating students’ STEM literacy and creating the main body status of the students in the middle school;breakthrough in the school wall,comprehensive curriculum implementation,which include the expansion of the curriculum implementation site,the comprehensive use of a variety of curriculum implementation models,let teachers be a competent "scaffolding."... |
