Mr.Tao Xingzhi once said,"Instead of cramming students with bits and peices of knowledge,we might as well give them some keys so that they can automatically explore the treasure of culture and the universe." The goal of cultivating middle school students in our country and the Outline of Moral Education in Middle School also clearly put forward that it is necessary to "cultivate students self-management ability".Therefore,the study of high school students self-management has important theoretical value and practical significance.Taking No.1 Middle School of Zoucheng Yankuang Mine in Jining City,Shandong Province as an example,this paper interviews students,parents and teachers in No.1 Middle School of Zoucheng Yankuang with questionnaires designed around four indicators of students self-management: awareness of self-management,current situation of selfmanagement,students autonomy in daily life and students daily life style.Through interviews,this paper summarizes the problems of high school students lack of self-management consciousness,lack of self-reflection ability and passive ways in self-management.Therefore,the by analysing the causes of the above problems from the aspects of students themselves,their home-school environment as well as teachers work,the author concludes that the main reasons for the lack of students self-management ability are the stereotypes of teachers ideas,the lack of correct guidance to students,the imperfection of school management platforms,the lack of a good school environment,and the drawbacks of selection system of the College Entrance Examination.In view of the exposed problems and the analysis of the causes,this paper puts forward some effective countermeasures,such as paying attention to students selfmanagement experience,encouraging students to cultivate self-consciousness,strengthening the construction of high-quality teachers,standardizing teaching according to laws,providing guarantee for the development of students self-management ability,and creating a good home-school atmosphere to guide the growth of students self-management consciousness.
