Analysis Of Xinjiang Border Population

Xinjiang is China's largest province with the largest area,the largest number of neighboring c ountries a ndt he 1 ongest 1 and borde r(more t han 560 0 kilometers).The special g eographical 1 ocation,n ational culture and socio-economic form of t he border area make the d evelopment model of the border po pulation u nique.A comprehensive a nd syst ematic analysis of t he development of the border population in Xinjiang will help promote the development of t he border population,promote the exchanges,communmcation and integration of a 11 ethnic groups in China,and promote the construction of China's "The Belt and Road" border core area.This paper i s m ainly based on t he fourth,fi fth and sixth X injiang Uygur Autonomous R egion census da ta,comprehensively a sing so cial statistics,population geography,mathematical statistics and ot her re lated knowledge to analyze the status quo and development of Xinjiang border population.The seven chapters of this thesis can be di vided into three parts:The first part is the introduction,including the background,significance,research scope,data source,re search c ontent,methods,i nnovation a nd de ficiencies,and t he research status of related literature.The second part is the core part of this paper.The four chapters respectively discuss the status quo and development oft he overall popul ation of the Xinjiang borde r,t he borde r popul ation of t he sub-region,a nd t he e thnic popul ation at t he borde r.T he t hird pa rt i s t he extension and summary of this paper.Based on the characteristics of the minority population in Xinjiang border,the linear regression model and the grey model GM(1,1)are used to predict the development trend in the short term(2018-2025).The main conclusions are as follows:First,t he de velopment of bor der popul ation i n X injiang:(1)the s patial distribution of p opulation i s c haracterized by "popular a nd s parse" in c ounty population d ensity,"large a nd s mall,dens e a nd r are" in to wnship population density,and "the land is not thin" in Oasis population density.(2)Since 1990,Xinjiang's borde r p opulation ha s show n st eady growth,p opulation a ging i s accelerating(advanced in 2010),the level of education has continued to improve(currently the a verage 1 ength of e ducation is 8.63 years),and the in dustrial structure of the employed population has developed slowly.Second,t he popul ation de velopment b etween t he borde rs of sout hem Xinjiang a nd t he b orders of nort herm X injiang a nd ea stern X injiang i s ve ry different:(1)the border population of southern Xinjiang is highly dense(the population density of the oasis is 196 per square kilometer),and the population of the border between northern Xinjiang and eastern Xinjiang is medium(The population density of theoasisis 84 and 96 people persqua rekilometer respectively;(2)t he ethnic structure of t he southern border is relatively single(the Uygur proportion is always higher than 83%),and the ethnic structure of the border between the northern and eastern borders is relatively balanced;(3)the age of the border population in southern Xinjiang is positive(the median age is only 26.03 years),and the populations in the border areas of northern Xinjiang and eastern Xinjiang are old-aged(the median age is more than 35 years old);(4)the industrial structure is“one-three-two",but the development is "fast in the east,slow in the north,and slow in the south".The border population of southern Xinjiang i s ve ry de pendent o n a griculture(the propo rtion of t he po pulation engaged in the first industry accounts for 84.28%of the total),and the population of the first industry in the border area of northern Xinjiang accounts for 66.19%,slightly hi gher t han t he e ntire r egion of X injiang(61.22%).The i ndustrial structure of the frontier population in eastern Xinjiang is relatively reasonable,even be tter t han t he na tional av erage;(5)T he s outhern X injiang borde r urbanization process is slow(the urbanization rate is only 15.36%),the northern Xinjiang border urbanization rate is 37.09%,and the eastern border is as high as 60.15%,which is higher than the national average(49.68%).Third,the ethnic population distribution of the border ethnic groups has obvious regional characteristics:the Uygur and Kirgiz ethnic groups have a high degree of concentration,concentrated in the southern border;the Han ethnic group has a low degree of aggregation,mainly in the northern and eastern border areas;the Kazakh ethnic group has a high degree of aggregation,mainly in the northern and eastern border areas;the H ui ethnic group mainly distributes in Huocheng and Tacheng counties on the border of northern Xinjiang.The overall situation is obvious.
