In the context of a new generation,data analysis is closely related to people's life and is one of the essential abilities for everyone to grow up.In the general high school mathematics curriculum standards promulgated in 2017,data analysis is one of the six major mathematics disciplines.It further demonstrates that the training of data analysis skills in mathematics teaching is of great importance to contemporary high school students.Based on the previous research results and practical experience of data analysis,this study combines the new curriculum standards with specific requirements for data analysis literacy from:collecting and organizing data,understanding and processing data,obtaining and interpreting conclusions,summarizing and forming knowledge,four dimensions are compiled for high school students' data analysis ability test papers,and the status of high school students'data analysis ability is explored.Based on the characteristics of high school students'psychological development and growth environment,this paper,by referring to relevant literatures,compiled a questionnaire on the status quo of high school students' data analysis ability from four aspects,including students' individual,teachers' teaching,school curriculum setting and family environment,to further analyze the main factors affecting the data analysis ability of high school students.Through the distribution of test papers and questionnaires to two high schools of different levels in Yangzhou city,Jiangsu province,and combining with field research,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)The overall situation of high school students' data analysis ability is poor.(2)In the comparison of the four dimensions,the two dimensions of collecting and organizing data and understanding and processing the data are better,and the dimensions of obtaining and interpreting the conclusions are general,while the dimensions of summarizing and forming knowledge is poor and needs to be further improved.(3)There is no significant correlation between high school students' data analysis ability and their math scores.(4)There are significant differences in the data analysis ability between boys and girls.In ail dimensions,the girls are slightly higher than the boys and the difference between boys and girls in understanding and processing data is small.(5)In the overall comparison of data analysis ability of students at different levels,the data analysis ability of lower level school students is slightly higher than that of higher level school students.(6)There are significant differences in data analysis capabilities between different levels of classes.The results of the survey show that the current situation of high school students' data analysis ability is not optimistic and needs to be improved by all aspects of society.Based on the conclusions of the research and the feedback information of the questionnaire,this paper proposes the following teaching and learning inspiration to improve the data analysis ability of high school students.(1)"Teaching" includes the establishment of school teaching courses,teacher teaching and family education.In the course setting,the school can arrange practical courses related to data analysis to promote students' active participation;Teachers should give full play to the main role of students in the teaching of data analysis related knowledge,combine textbooks with life,inspire students' self-inquiry awareness,prevent "one size fits all" phenomenon in the teaching process,pay attention to teaching students according to their aptitude,and timely collect students' learning results and evaluation,so as to optimize teaching;In family education,parents should pay attention to cultivating students' independent consciousness,training their life practice ability,and fostering self-confidence.(2)"Study" is the study of students.Students should change traditional mathematical concepts,abandon utilitarian ideas,and improve their self-abilities;Out of the greenhouse area,the courage to practice;Focus on consolidating the foundation,overcome the fear of difficulty.
