The origin of human teaching is through the transmission of stories.During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period,Confucius,an ideologist and educator in China,applied the "story teaching method" to teaching practice.He often explained knowledge through examples and storytelling.Socrates and Plato in ancient Greece also often used storytelling to educate students.Although the concept of story teaching method has not been explicitly put forward by the sages,in its specific teaching practice,the story teaching method is implicit.Although the current language classroom shows a new and different side,the one-way information transmission and instilling scenes of teachers are also very common.Students passively accept it,and it is difficult to resonate emotionally.Chinese classroom teaching urgently needs to introduce fresh blood,and story teaching is a new attempt.The story teaching method takes students as the main body,pays attention to the students' emotional experience,can arouse students' curiosity,stimulate students' imagination,and develop students' thinking,which is of great significance for changing the status quo of the textual analysis text in the Chinese classroom.The cognitive value and teaching inspiration value of the story are manifested in two aspects.First,from the content of the story,the story is rich in content,widely available,and full of fun,which is an important learning content in the Chinese classroom.There are many stories that have been circulated since thousands of years ago.They contain the profound history and culture of the Chinese nation and are excellent teaching content and materials.Second,from the perspective of the form of the story,“the story uses different information processing methods and narrative methods to locate the emotions of the audience,which enables the audience to react emotionally to the story”.The attraction of a story comes from the way and rhythm of the narrative.The story's organization and presentation of information has great inspirational value for Chinese teaching.Story teaching is an important way to motivate students and stimulate students' interest in learning.Based on the understanding of the value of the story teaching method,the paper has learned the problems in the teaching of Chinese language stories in today's primary schools through questionnaires.On this basis,the application strategy of story teaching method in primary school Chinese teaching is expounded,and the teaching practice is explored throughspecific teaching cases,in order to give readers more information.However,the practice of story teaching method in primary school Chinese teaching is still insufficient.How to create a story with plot and conflict in the classroom still needs the active exploration of the majority of Chinese teachers.
