Research On Online Academic Information Search Behaviors And Influencing Factors Of Master Students

In the complex network environment,information resources are characterized by wide distribution,strong dynamic changes,uneven quality,various retrieval tools and methods,which make it difficult to search and use information and complicate information behavior.At present,the enrollment and education scale of postgraduate students in China are constantly expanding.As a very important follow-up force of scientific research,postgraduate students should pay close attention to it.The purpose of this study is to explore the network academic information search behavior of postgraduates of Tianjin Polytechnic University and its influencing factors in the search process,so as to attract the attention of graduate school,library and students of Tianjin Polytechnic University,and improve the level of net,Awork academic information search of postgraduates.The main contents of this research include the following aspects:First,using literature analysis method,combing the relevant research results of academic information search behavior at home and abroad,and determining the theoretical basis of this research;Second,selecting different professional categories in Tianjin Polytechnic University Semi-structured interviews were conducted for postgraduate students,and interview materials were analyzed through NVIVO to explore the online academic information search behavior and influencing factors.Third,the questionnaire was designed based on theoretical research and qualitative research.It was distributed within Tianjin Polytechnic University.The questionnaire data of the collection was analyzed and revealed through descriptive analysis of its online academic information search behavior.The exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the dimensions and elements of its influencing factors.The findings are as follows:First,the information search behavior presents the characteristics of task-driven;Second,the minimum effort principle of information search behavior is highlighted.Third,information search needs guidance and help.Fourth,the network academic information search self-efficacy is low.Therefore,the corresponding countermeasures are put forward:one is to promote one-stop retrieval of academic databases at home and abroad;Second,promote the embedded subject service of university library;Third,enhance the sense of self-efficacy of postgraduate students.
