Aggressive behaviors,as one of the common problem behaviors,have so many adverse effects on the social development of preschool children that the research on it has always been a hotspot in psychology field.Research in the past has achieved a lot in intervening the aggressive behaviors through BFT(behavioral family therapy),play therapy and art therapy.However,it falls short in children’s initiative motivation and social interaction situations set.Picture book reading therapy is widely applied and has unique value in preschool children’s emotion expressing,emotion controlling and pressure relieving etc.And it is commonly used in the treatment of dysthymic disorder,anxiety disorder,but seldom in the intervention of aggressive behavior cases.Based on the above,this study takes reading therapy as the starting point,and explores the use of picture book reading therapy to intervene and correct the preschool children’s aggressive behaviors,further enriches the theory of aggressive behavior correction,and also provides a practical basis for reading therapy case study.This study used multi-method evaluation to screen cases.Seven children in the kindergarten were screened by means of teacher nomination and evaluation.Seven children from both the middle and small classes with the highest scores were screened through the peer nomination method.Five children who appeared in both results were screened as the targeted ones.Three of their parents who agreed to participate were tested using the Achenbach Child Behavior Scale(Parental Version).To explore the mode of picture book reading therapy in preschool children aggressive behaviors correcting,the criteriria-based behaviors of the two cases were recorded through the observation method,the causes of the cases’ aggressive behaviors were analyzed by interviewing their parents and the picture book reading therapy plan was designed and implemented through 12 weeks of 23 pictures book reading.The correction effect were examined by observing the changes in the case behaviors during the correction process,comparing the times of aggressive behaviors occurred before and three months after the correction.The results of the study were as follows:(1)The picture book reading treatment method is effective to correct preschool children’s aggressive behaviors.(2)The corrective effect of the reading treatment method is different in the aggressive behavior of preschool children.Both Child A and Child B have made significant progress after four stages of correction.However,the correction effect and its stability are different because of the causes of the aggressive behaviors.According to the case intervention and implementation effect,the following need to pay attention to in the future:1.Preschool children should be allowed to take part in book choosing.2.The achievement of emotion objective should be emphasized more;3.Connect with the family and the kindergarten to ensure the stability of the correction effect. |
