With the development of physical education,higher teaching requirements are put forward for physical education.The volleyball elective course is an integral part of college sports and is a course that students choose according to their hobbies and other aspects.The volleyball elective course is responsible for teaching students volleyball skills,cultivating students' awareness of physical exercise,and improving students' physical fitness.This article takes the game teaching method as the teaching concept and teaching method.According to the volleyball teaching goal,the combination of sports games and volleyball techniques,teaching in the way of games,and experimental application of the evaluation of the application of the game teaching method in the volleyball elective course teaching.This paper uses the literature data method,expert interview method,questionnaire survey method,experimental method,data statistics method and other methods to conduct a one-semester experiment on two volleyball options classes of Xihua Normal University,and conduct statistical analysis on the measured experimental results.The results of the analysis are: in the volleyball teaching process,the game method teaching has a better effect on the students' interest;the game method has a better effect on the attitude of physical exercise;the game method is used in the student's physical quality.The improvement aspect has a good effect;the game method teaching has a good effect on learning the basic skills of volleyball;in short,the game teaching method is conducive to achieving the teaching goal in the volleyball elective course teaching,and it is worthwhile to try in teaching.
