With the gradual improvement of China's art education system,the topic of "morality,intelligence,physique,art and labor" all-round development is also on the rise.As an important component of quality education,art education has become a topic that needs to be explored and practiced urgently in the education field.Under the guidance of the new curriculum reform,a variety of teaching methods emerge as the times require,and corresponding teaching modes emerge in endlessly.As teachers guide the classroom and students,whether the teaching methods and concepts are mature and scientific is especially important.The survey found that too abstract and general teaching mode makes the interaction between teachers and students insufficient,students'interest low,teachers'teaching boring,and the classroom teaching effect is not ideal.The cooperative teaching between teachers and students can enhance the "cohesion" between teachers and students,mobilize the enthusiasm of the classroom to the greatest extent,and achieve the expected classroom teaching effect.In this paper,I will focus on how to make students "accept" knowledge and to what extent "accept" ,and how teachers should design methods to maximize the degree of "teaching" .The book "Understanding by Design" co-edited by Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe presents a teaching mode that conforms to China's core literacy.The teaching method based on reverse design avoids the two kinds of teaching drawbacks of paying too much attention to learning activities and inculcating subject knowledge in traditional teaching,thus achieving a new balance between the two.At the same time,the cooperative teaching between teachers and students is realized on the basis of understanding.How to enable students to effectively understand knowledge and extend this understanding or the "key ability" and "essential character" cultivated in understanding to the new environment,to realize the potential transfer of learning and truly reflect the core accomplishment of art discipline formed by students through art learning,is one of the exploration goals of "methodology" in current teaching.The inclusiveness,openness and interest of UbD teaching theory can ensure students'effective understanding of knowledge,and at the same time enable students to form a more autonomous inquiry learning method.The corresponding teaching evaluation is no longer only based on mere paper and pen memories,which greatly promotes students'participation and interest in class.UbD mode aims to provide a novel teaching idea and mode for teachers,which is also the practical value of this research.UbD teaching mode advocates breaking the traditional focus activity or focus infusion teaching method and adopting reverse design.This design idea can not only improve students'interest in learning fine arts and improve classroom efficiency,but also provide a new learning method for students to construct fine arts knowledge and improve their ability to solve problems.Therefore,to explore UbD art teaching practice methods is of great significance to the current primary and secondary art classes.This article is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the literature review research,research value and research methods of UbD model,provides the research foundation for this article,discusses the purpose and significance of the topic selection,and discusses the importance of UbD theory to guide the art classroom teaching methods.The second part focuses on the investigation and analysis of the current primary and secondary school art classroom teaching methods,mainly using the form of online questionnaires to understand the current primary and secondary school art classroom teaching methods,summarizing and analyzing the existing problems in primary and secondary school teaching methods,providing theoretical and data support for the study of UbD teaching mode in this paper.This part also interviewed two art teachers at different levels to discuss their different understanding of UbD theory,which is helpful to understand the status of UbD in China's art practice from multiple dimensions and levels and provides the core guidance and improvement direction for this article.The third part is about the interpretation of UbD teaching methodology.Wiggins and McTaggart gave the reverse design template and design ideas in detail in the second edition of the book.This article will analyze and narrate each link from the setting of teaching objectives to classroom evaluation,and formulate a series of auxiliary tools that are helpful to art classroom teaching.The fourth part is the focus of this article.It makes a practical research and analysis on the application of UbD model in art teaching.It takes the "Flower Patterns in Dressing up Life" and "Features of Art Works" two courses in middle school art textbooks as teaching cases,and makes self-evaluation and professional
