China’s education modernization 2035,issued by the central committee of the communist party of China and the state council,pointed out: "in order to achieve quality education and promote the development of education modernization,China’s basic education is faced with a series of institutional changes,such as education philosophy,education quality,curriculum and textbooks,talent training methods,and education informatization.Therefore,it is imperative to transform basic education schools.In such a period of school reform,the principal,as the top manager who is responsible for organizing school reform,has great significance in choosing the right leadership style.As a new type of leadership style,transformational leadership style is conducive to the innovation and reform of the organization and will bring about high organizational performance.In addition,transformational leadership scores higher than ordinary leaders in employee satisfaction and goal achievement.This paper introduces the transformational leadership theory from enterprises into school management practice,explores the effectiveness of transformational leadership style in school context,and creates favorable conditions for school reform.This paper mainly referred to the chinese-style transformational leadership questionnaire compiled by Li Chaoping and Bass,compiled the transformational leadership questionnaire for primary school principals,and compiled the leadership effectiveness questionnaire based on sun miantao’s dimensional classification criteria for school effectiveness.Mean value is used to describe the current situation of transformational leadership style of primary school principals,and on this basis,correlation analysis and regression analysis are used to explore the specific impact of transformational leadership style on three dimensions of school effectiveness(school staff development,school work development and school career development).The results show that the transformational leadership style of school principals has a significant positive impact on leadership effectiveness,but there are differences in the impact on the three specific dimensions of leadership effectiveness,which are the development of school work,the development of school personnel,and the development of school career.In order to clarify the factors affecting the performance of transformational principals’ leadership effectiveness,the author selected 10 primary school principals with high transformational leadership style for interview.The interview results showed that school culture,personnel composition,management system and principals’ quality would affect the performance of transformational principals’ leadership effectiveness.Finally,according to the factors affecting the performance of transformational principals’ leadership,this paper puts forward four Suggestions to primary school principals.To promote the professional development of teachers and optimize the growth environment of teachers;To improve the school management system,actively explore the establishment of a modern school system;It is necessary to cultivate transformational leadership style and improve principals’ quality.
