Left-behind high school students have long lacked parental attention and support due to the absence of one or both parents, resulting in many mental health problems, especially in interpersonal relationships. Some surveys have shown that many left-behind high school students show inner closure, anxiety, loneliness, selfishness, indifference, reluctance to communicate with others, and lack self-confidence.These characters will cause frequent frustration in the process of interpersonal communication, resulting in increased inferiority complex. Some even have psychological problems. When they do have psychological problems,no one can guide them and relieve them of their confusion, whichleaves the left-behind high school students more loneliness and more difficultywith interpersonal relations. Therefore,it is very meaningful to understand the current situation of interpersonal relationships among the left-behind high school students, analyze its development laws, gain insight into its development trajectory, and explore effective educational intervention strategies to promote harmonious campus construction. This study selected left-behind high school student in a senior high school in Huai'an City as the research object.Using the overall random sampling method, the comprehensive interpersonal diagnosis scale was used to conduct questionnaires for students in 30 classes in the first, second, and third grades.1020 questionnaires were issued and 968 effective questionnaires were obtained. The efficiency reached 96.41%,of which 768 stayed high school students,in order to students with mild or more problems were selected,of which 183 were mild interpersonal problems,86 were moderate problems, and 32 were severe problems.Group counseling interventions are selected according to the degree of distress in the form of recruitment. The group of 15 students who are willing to participate in group counseling interventions with different levels(mild, moderate, and severe)interpersonal problems will each form an intervention group as an intervention target, and will implement a two-month group counseling for members of the intervention group.According to the principle of homogeneity,15 students from different levels(mild, moderate, and severe)of interpersonal disabilities were selected as non-intervention groups. After empirical investigation and intervention research, the following results were obtained:(1)The interpersonal situation of non-left-behind high school students is generally better than that of left-behind high school students. As high as 87.5%of the formerexpressed their satisfaction with their own interpersonal relationships, while the percentage of the latteris only 51.95%.The interpersonal problems of non-left-behind high school students are on average lower than those of left-behind high school students.(2)Interpersonal problems of left-behind high school students are common 60.81%of the students showed no interpersonal problems(scoring 0-7 points),23.83%of the students showed mild interpersonal problems(scoring 8-14 points),11.19%with moderate interpersonal problems(scoring 15-21 points),and 4.17%severe interpersonal problems.(scoring 22-28 points).(3)The average total score of the interpersonal relationship status of the left-behind high school students is 8.81(total average score>8 indicates interpersonal problems),and the conversation is divided into 2.55 points, the communication is divided into 2.68 points, the people are divided into 1.47 points, and the opposite sex is divided into 2.11 points(each dimension is divided into more than 2 points.Interpersonal relationship troubles),which shows that their interpersonal relationships are still somewhat troubled,He also has more problems in conversation, communication and heterosexual communication, and less problems in dealing with people.(4)There are significant differences between left-behind high school students from rural areas and left-behind high school students from cities and towns;Boys have higher levels of distress than girls in overall interpersonal relationships and the dimensions of conversation and heterosexual interaction, and lower levels in social and interpersonal relationships. The left-behind high school students with different grades only have differences in dealing with people. The highest problem is in the second grade; The only-children score higher than non-only-children on all four dimensions and overall interpersonal scores, suggesting that only-children have more trouble with relationships than non-only-children.(5)After two months of group counseling intervention, the intervention group has significantly improved in terms of conversation, communication, dealing with people, and heterosexual contacts. There was no significant difference in the pre-and post-measurement of the non-intervention group. As far as the effect of group counseling is concerned,it has a good effect on left-behind high school students with mild interpersonal problems. This shows that group counseling can effectively address the problem of interpersonal relationship problems of left-behind
