A Multidimensional Perspective Of The Concept Of Career Education

Career education,as a form of education,originated in the United States and subsequently spread throughout the world which has been an integral part of all stages of education.In China,career education gradually extends from the higher education stage to the lower level.However,the development of the theory and practice of career education are in the initial stage in China,the development speed is slow and the development is not perfect in all aspects.The concept of career education is the basic support for the development of career education,is the only way to deepen career education,and is the appeal to adapt to modern educational concepts.However,at present,the systematic study of the concept of career education in China is a blank point,thus,it is urgent to clarify the concept of career education.This study is based on the review of relevant concepts of career education,the research on career education and related concepts,the research on career education concepts.It uses the comprehensive use of literature analysis methods,genetic methods,historical logic methods,comparative research methods,and conceptual analysis.Law and other research methods are based on the concept of "career education" as the core issue,and they are systematically studied.This dissertation uses a variety of research methods,such as literature analysis,genetics methods,historical logic methods,comparative research methods,and conceptual analysis methods,to systematically study the "career education concept" the core problem of the dissertation.A thing and a phenomenon always produce and develop in a certain historical and cultural environment.Exploring history can analyze the nature and development law of one thing.Therefore,the second chapter uses historical logic methods to analyze historical background,development history,related theories of career guidance,career counseling,and career education from the perspective of history,as well as the in-depth values of each stage.There always exist differences and connections between career education and related concepts.Comparing the concept of career education with related concepts can further clarify the concept of career education and explore the universal laws and special laws behind career education.Therefore,the third chapter uses the concept analysis method and comparative research method to analyze the differences and relations between career education and vocational education,vocational guidance,and career counseling in historical development,etymology,goals and objects from a comparative perspective.It is concluded that vocational education is the cornerstone of the birth and development of career education,career guidance is the core of career education,and career counseling and career education are mutually developing and mutually reinforcing.Definition as a carrier of concept is a brief and accurate description of concept connotation or meaning of a word.Therefore,in the fourth chapter,the concept analysis method and genesis method are used to analyze the changes in the three aspects of the concept of "career" from the perspective of definition.The definition of career education in foreign countries was analyzed,and the consensus defined in scope,object,purpose and nature,the relationship between career education and education,career education in terms of form,goals,and participants were divided.Based on historical perspectives,comparative perspectives,and defined perspectives,the fifth chapter points out the narrow definition and broad definition of career education from the perspective of definition based on the three major elements of the definition of career education,namely the subject,goal,and content of career education.It summarizes the general attributes and essential attributes of career education,points out the connotation and extension of career education,and finally gives advice on the application of career education and related concepts.
