Research On Child Care And Education In Shaan-Gan-Ning Border Region

During the Yanan period,people from all over the country including some international friends went to Shanganning border region,actively participated in the Anti Japanese War and the liberation war of China.At that time,preschool education was also nurtured in this land.Those Child care institutions established there were called the "red cradle",in which a large number of red revolutionary descendants were cultivated during wars.Nowadays we are in a time of peace and plenty,however,we still want to know how our ancestors succesfully nurtured children during wars in an environment which extremely lack of material.therefore,the purpose of this study is to reproduce activities related to child care in Shanganning border region during Yanan period,So that people can fully understand the development of preschool education during Yanan period,and carry forward the excellent revolutionary spirit in educational practice.This dissertation mainly collected data through literature,using a large number of documents to reproduce the scene of children's activities in Shanganning border region.First,this article analyzed the reasons for the initiation of child care work in Shanganning border region.When the Anti-Japanese War started,lots of children went homeless because of the war.Some patriots launched the Wartime Child Care Association and local branches,resettlement and took care of displaced children.The government of the border region,responding to the call of the association,also formulated some policies to protect children and implemented it in practical work.Secondly,this dissertation describes the establishment and development of the child care institutions.The first and second child care institutions along with other forms of child care institution were soon establised.Under the rule of "all for children",the child care institution carride out the principle "combining care and education".National offsprings were raised so well because of those hardworking teaching stuff.Finally,the characteristic of the child care in shanganning border region is relying on the masses and thrifty to run a school,special kids and teachers,runing school with the help of others.The child care work in border region accelerated the emancipation of women,popularized the knowledge on hygiene of children as well as accumulated valuable experience on preschool education.Today,we need to keep pace with the times in our educational work,however,we still need to carry forward some good educational traditions and experiences.Such as the revolutionary spirit of Yanan.
