| Thanks to the deepening of new curricular reform and the advancement of college entrance examination reform,a growing number of Chinese teachers and students start to recognize the fact that a good reader tends to perform better in his/her studies.Nowadays,intensive reading is one of the class priorities in primary and junior high schools while is not well-received in senior high schools,which leads to the research on reading teaching in senior high schools only carried out in a vacuum.Though studies on ladder reading in foreign countries is worth learning,the lack of exploration of ladder reading in senior high schools offers little experience and theoretical outcome that can be borrowed from.However,in practical teaching in senior high schools,ladder reading is an essential part of the system of reading teaching and has a far-reaching impact on students’ adequate development and humanistic education.Given such circumstances,the author probes into the situation of reading teaching in Chinese class from grade one to grade three in her teaching school and concludes the following problems facing the reading teaching class in senior high schools.First,students have less time for reading due to the great pressure brought by the intense learning and their teachers’ neglectful attitude towards reading.Second,senior high students change a lot in their reading interests and many of them show little interest in classics.Third,e-reading has to some extent substituted for the traditional way of reading.Fourth,the reading level of the senior high students is disappointingly lowered.Therefore,the author believes it is of significance to undertake the research on ladder reading teaching in Chinese class in senior high schools.This paper consists of three parts.The first part is the necessity and connotation definition of ladder reading teaching.Through the analysis of the current student reading status and reading teaching status in Chinese classes and their possible reasons in senior high schools,the paper explains the necessity of carrying out ladder reading teaching and gives definition to the connotation of reading teaching,including ladder reading and ladder teaching.The second part is implementation strategies of ladder reading teaching,namely,ladder reading preparation,which is composed of school management,teacher development,student cognition;and ladder teaching implementation strategies,which follows a step-by-step process: recognition,understanding,analysis and exploration.The third part is the teaching experiment and achievement display of ladder reading.The author proves the fruitful application of ladder reading teaching to her personal class practice through three sections: ladder experiment composed of ladder reading books recommendation and ladder teaching experiment results,achievement display of reading works of teachers and students,and teaching evaluation. |
