With the coming of cultural industry times, teenagers or young students' reading ratekeeps low and even lost the interest in literacy reading, which makes it much poor for them touse Chinese and they have no interest in reading and writing may definitely have somethingto do with being beneath their moral standards and abnormal change of their thoughts.Nowadays, what has been compiled in the textbooks is mostly something such as "agentleman uses his tongue, nor his fists" etc. and teaching in class is not practical, which maymake students write hollow words in their compositions with unreal feelings and poorthinking. The key reason why not reading and writing is our lack of conscious systematiccultivation of reading education. In order to change the embarrassed situation in our inactiveclass, teachers ought to have the guts to innovate and encourage them to fully broaden theirmind and let them experience life, read good books, describe the real things about themselves,which real life materials and excellent works may be introduced to our class, which wouldenrich our teaching materials and strengthen Chinese teaching, delaminate the bindingsagainst natural living and development environment for the students and set up a perfectspacious stage for each student to fully reveal his/her quality. Reading and writing are the two most important wings of Chinese teaching and also thedifficult problems having long been puzzled the teachers. Reading and writing supplementeach other and can not be separated at all. How much a student reads decides the broadeningof his/her mind and what a student reads decides how well he/she can write later in the future.How to make students develop all round in reading and writing under the situation ofdevoting major efforts to take the initiative in trying to use new courses at present? I think thatread-writing combination is an efficient way of teaching. Since 2000, my colleagues and Ihave tried various means of teaching in guiding the students to conduct the experiment ofread-write combination and we've achieved what we've been expecting. Through thedefinition of the standards of read-write combination, this article analyses the current situationof read-write combination, looks into the concrete working method and the policy of how toimprove the efficiency of read-write combination. Practice shows that through the method ofread-write combination, we can intrinsically combine the texts with the compositions, life andlearning in class with that after class and even the compositions with how for them to behavein society, which may improve the efficiency of reading and writing and better integrate thesources of courses and most importantly may inspire students being interest in learningChinese and improve their Chinese attainments all round.
