Primary school Chinese occupies a central position in the basic education curriculum system.Primary school Chinese teachers can use their sign language to assist their expressions,create a good classroom atmosphere,enhance the appeal of teaching,mobilize the enthusiasm of students,and obtain good teaching results.The sign language of primary school Chinese teachers reflects the teacher’s educational philosophy,teaching art and educational wisdom to a certain extent.Through a detailed investigation of the status quo of the application of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers,the author finds that there are problems in the application of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers,and analyzes the causes of these problems from the internal and external aspects.Then proposes targeted countermeasures and suggestions,Which not only can enrich the relevant theory of the teacher’s sign language,but also based on the needs of reality.The research methods mainly in this study include questionnaire surveys,interviews,and classroom observations.274 primary language teachers were surveyed by questionnaire.The questionnaires were divided into four dimensions: understanding,learning,use,and impact on teaching effectiveness.Through SPSS statistical analysis,it is found that there are significant differences in age,job title,grade of teaching,and location of schools among these primary school Chinese teachers;Through interviews with 12 teachers and 18 students,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the application of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers;In addition,using the classroom observation table to conduct a detailed classroom observation on the 24 lessons of the 3 teachers,and then sort out the frequency of various sign language.Through quantitative and qualitative analysis,we fully understand the application of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers.By sorting out and analyzing the collected data,it is found that there are still many problems in the application of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers.Mainly manifested in: primary school Chinese teachers lack understanding and reflection on sign language;primary school Chinese teachers have limited opportunities to learn sign language and lack of awareness,and there is a lack of gestures for "vocabulary";The use of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers is inadequate and there is a lack of application skills.The sign language of primary school Chinese teachers lacks primary discipline.In response to these problems,mainly carries on the reason analysis from the internal and the external two aspects.Based on the analysis of the reasons,we put forward targeted improvement strategies and suggestions: change concepts,the use of sign language from neglect to value;reinforce theknowledge of sign language theory,grasp the gestures of “vocabulary” and sign language expression skills;strengthen classroom practice,improves the use of sign language skills;primary school Chinese teachers pay attention to the reflection on the sign language of teachers;schools and education administrative departments strengthen the management and evaluation of sign language of Chinese teachers in primary schools.It is expected that the application level of sign language in primary school Chinese teachers can be improved.
