| Deaf is a disadvantaged group of society,because of the language is different from others and therefore making them live hard.The Deaf is a member of our society,and can contribute to the development of society by their own efforts.With the development of society,The importance of sign language for the Deaf has also been recognized by educators and researchers.Whether it is in school and everywhere Deaf are inseparable from sign language.Teachers in school for the Deaf and sign language interpreters are the two largest group of sign language use,teachers play an important role in their growth process and the sign language interpreters provided more convenience for the Deaf.At present,the level of sign language for hearing-teacher generally cannot meet the demand of the teaching,sign language interpreters are also in short supply,so the Sign language training and assessment of the scientific needs to be improved.Learn sign language for us belongs to the second language learning,appropriate use of language learning strategies can help sign language learning more efficient.This study set out a questionnaire suitable for investigating the strategies for sign language study based on the well-known language learning strategies.80 teachers and 35 sign language translators were selected as the objects.The purpose of this study is to investigate the use of language learning strategies in the process of hearings.This study provided advise that how to promote the level language learning.First,the effects of different professional backgrounds,language attitudes,teaching age and gender on language learning strategies were investigated using the language learning strategy questionnaire.Secondly,as a supplement to the study,on the basis of the analysis of the questionnaire,the author chooses the teachers who have different gender,different professional backgrounds and different ages to conduct an interview.Results:The hearings use language learning strategies to promote their learning,memory strategies are used for high frequencies in the process of learning sign language;Sign language interpreters used a higher frequency of sign language strategies in learning sign language;Teachers who had a positive attitude towards sign language used language learning strategies more frequently;Teachers with longer teaching experience have more balanced and frequent use of strategies;The impact of gender on the six language learning strategies is significant,in general,men were more likely to use the strategy.The conclusion can be drawn from this study:Sign language learning requires guidance of language learning strategies;Professional curriculum helps to develop the use of language learning strategies;Positive attitude is helpful to the use of language learning strategies;The length of the study time and the environmental impact language learning strategy;Learning sign language follows the laws of second language as learning other languages.Through the analysis of the current sign language training and sign language teaching problems,the author made the following recommendations:First,improving the sign language curriculum and the quality of sign language training;Second,State and schools of deaf to keep the teachers sign language assessment of scientific and normalized;Third,emphasis on the language of linguistic theory of knowledge education. |
