This thesis chooses online games,a rapidly developing new media with many audiences as its research object,and studies the narrative texts,narrative levels,narrative structures,narrative types and narrative features of online games from the point of view of new media narration As an entry point for online games as a virtual space,the space classification and narrative space in online games are explored.Based on the analysis of representative online games and the process of online game production.It is believed that online games as new media narrative texts can be discussed from three perspectives.And summed up the three main narrative structure of online game narrative,as well as the four main types of narrative.In the online game space research,according to Bartle Model,the online game space is divided into four functional spaces.The thesis is divided into four chapters.The introduction raises questions and summarizes domestic and foreign narrative research literature on online games and online games,and defines the relevant concepts and describes the significance of the research.The first chapter classifies the narrative texts of online games as new media narrative texts,and studies the narrative texts in online games from three perspectives.Chapter 2 categorizes and discusses the narrative structure,types,and space of online games.Chapter 3 discusses the characteristics of online game narratives.Chapter 4 describes online game narratives.The conclusion and conclusion of this thesis are summarized and some prospects of online game narrative research are given.
