Social Work Is Involved In The Study Of Community Health Care For The Elderly In Rural Areas

With the continuous acceleration of aging,the health problems of the elderly hav e become more prominent in recent years.Based on the actual situation,this study reli es on the internship institutions and takes the elderly in rural communities as the resea rch object.This study combines the research methods of literature research,participati on observation and interview to provide an in-depth analysis of the causes of health pr oblems of the elderly in rural communities.This study also uses the professional meth ods of social work to intervene in the health problems of the elderly in rural areas,and discusses how to solve those problems during the social works’ intervention.First of all,this study starts from the theory of ecosystem and divides the causes of the serious health problem among the elderly in the rural areas into three aspects:m icro,medium and macro.On the microcosmic level,the elderly have a vague sense of health and no healthy lifestyles.On the medium level,most of them live separately fro m their children,lack of health care and supervision,and lack of support from peers.On the macro level,the health problems of the elderly in rural areas lack of institution al support and non-institutional assistance.Secondly,in order to further explain how s ocial work plays a role in the health problems of rural areas’ elderly,the author takes the S communities as an example,and uses the regional development model to interve ne the social work of the elderly in the community.This model gives full play to the s ocial,community,family and peer groups in the social support network for the elderly in rural areas and integrates various social resources to promote the resolution of the health problems among the elderly in rural areas.Finally,this study reflects on the exi sting problems in the social work practice and gives some suggestions for improving t he social work intervention in the health problems of the elderly in rural areas.Such as improve the health insurance policy and build the care service system for t he elderly;Improve relevant laws and regulations,and clarify the scope of authority a nd responsibility of social organizations;Integrate service resources and expand sourc e channel of funds;Increase propaganda efforts to improve the professional recognitio n social workers.
