The Group Work Of The Empty-nest Elderly's Spiritual Comfort Intervenes In The Research

Since our country enters the aging society,the pension problem has received widespread attention.With the increase of the base of the old people and the change of the family structure,"empty nesting" has gradually become the label of the aging society in our country.Because of the deterioration of physiological function,the elderly have obvious demand for various problems,but the elderly with empty nesters are facing more serious problems:on the one hand,because their children go out,they lack the care from their families,and the social support network breaks down;On the other hand,because they live alone for a long time,they have Lack of emotional support,monotonous spiritual life and other problems.This paper adopts the empirical research method,selects the empty nest elderly in the J community of Nanjing as the research object,and probes into the spiritual consolation of the group work involved in the empty nest elderly.First of all,through interview method and participatory observation method,combining with the classification of the dimension of the elderly spiritual comfort research in the literature research,this paper starts from the health and safety of the empty nest elderly in community J,intergenerational relationship.Four aspects of interpersonal communication and daily leisure arrangement were collected to collect the mental comfort status of the empty nest elderly in community J.It was found that the psychological comfort needs of the empty nest elderly in community J were difficult to meet and the respect needs were difficult to meet.Emotional needs are difficult to meet and self-fulfilling needs are difficult to achieve To meet the four problems.Secondly,using the group work method,combining the social support theory and the theory of demand level,relying on the social work professional value concept to design the group activities of the spiritual solace of the empty nest elderly in the J community,according to the actual situation of the empty nest elderly,the intervention is divided into five stages,and the spiritual solace problem of the empty nest elderly is solved by the same level.To help the elderly improve their self-awareness,form a social support network of community friends and enhance the ability to obtain resources.Finally,this paper is based on the empirical study of the J community empty nest elderly.Through the evaluation and Reflection on the group intervention,it is found that the group work is effective in the intervention of the empty nest elderly.The beneficial attempt has a positive effect on solving the spiritual consolation of empty-nest elderly especially on the self-cognition of the elderly and the construction of support network.There are also some difficulties and shortcomings in the intervention of group work:there are contradictions between the short-term nature of group work and the long-term needs of the elderly,the consistency of group objectives and the differences in the individuation of the group members.The service skills of group workers need to be improved and the group work is not followed up later.At the end of the paper,the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures in the process of group work,hoping to provide experience and reference for the group work to intervene in the spiritual comfort of the empty nest elderly.
