Gratitude as an important emotional experience has an important impact on the individual's physical and mental health and interpersonal communication behavior,which has gradually become a hot field of positive psychology research.Interpersonal trust,as one of the premises of people's communication behavior,is also subject to scholars' attention.It can be seen that the two factors of gratitude and interpersonal trust have an important influence on an individual's social development.However,researchers have not yet systematically verified the relationship between gratitude and interpersonal trust.Therefore,this study attempts to explore whether gratitude has a role in promoting interpersonal trust,and introduces the trait of kindness human beliefs,hoping to further understand whether gratitude can indirectly affect interpersonal trust through kindness human belief and enrich interpersonal trust research.The study 1 adopted a relevant method,extracted 306 participants,explored the mechanism of the relationship between gratitude and interpersonal trust,which tested the intermediary role of kindness human belief in gratitude and interpersonal trust;The study 2 was to further verify the causal relationship between gratitude and interpersonal trust,The conclusion that kindness human belief played an intermediary role between gratitude and interpersonal trust.Used a single factor two-level experimental design,118 participants were selected and randomly assigned to the gratitude emotion group and the neutral emotion group,and then their kindness human belief and interpersonal trust were measured,the single investment amount of investors in trust game decision-making was used as a measure of interpersonal trust;The study 3 was an in-depth discussion of whether there is a difference in the causality of interpersonal trust in different situations and whether kindness human belief still acting as an intermediary,recruiting 109 participants,adopting a 2 × 2 inter-subject experiment design,using the type of emotion and task situation as independent variables,the dependent variable is the amount of investment in the decision-making of the trust game,and it is regarded as interpersonal a measure of trust.The results are as follows:(1)Using correlation analysis,it was found that gratitude is significantly related to interpersonal trust and kindness human belief.Interpersonal trust was related to kindness human belief;intermediary analysis found that the intermediary effect of kindness human belief between gratitude and interpersonal trust was significant;(2)The analysis used the experimental method found that in the gratitude group,interpersonal trust was significantly positively correlated with kindness human belief,while in the neutral emotion group,the kindness human belief and individual 's Interpersonal trust was not significant;intermediary analysis found that the intermediary effect of kindness human belief between gratitude and interpersonal trust is significant;(3)The independent sample T test of the data in Study 3 showed that the interpersonal trust in the gratitude group was significantly higher than the interpersonal trust in the neutral emotion group in both cooperation and competitive situations;relevant analysis found that interpersonal trust in the context of gratitude and cooperation were significantly related to kindness human belief,and interpersonal trust was significantly related to good faith in good cooperation.However,gratitude was significantly associated with interpersonal trust in a competitive context,and was not significantly associated with kindness human beliefs.Intermediary analysis found that the intermediary effect of kindness human belief in interpersonal trust,gratitude and cooperation contexts was significant.Analysis conclusion:(1)The higher the individual's gratitude,the higher the level of interpersonal trust,supporting the theoretical point that there is a positive correlation between gratitude and interpersonal trust;(2)Kindness human belief,as an intermediary variable,play a partial intermediary role between gratitude and interpersonal trust.Specifically,the higher the gratitude,the more the individual perceives human kindness,so the higher the level of interpersonal trust;(3)In different task scenarios,the impact of individual gratitude on interpersonal trust is significantly different.Compared with competing task scenarios,individuals have a higher degree of interpersonal trust in cooperative task scenarios;kindness human belief played an intermediary role between gratitude and interpersonal trust.
