The Relationship Between State Gratitude And Pro-social Tendencies: The Mediating Role Of Interpersonal Trust

Gratitude focuses on people's moral emotions and motivational aspects.It has an important influence on the physical and mental health and overall development of individuals,as well as a hot area for positive psychology research.At the same time,thanksgiving can be divided into two aspects,trait gratitude and state gratitude.The pro-social tendencies,as one of the contents of ethical behavior,have also received attention from scholars.It can be seen that the two factors of state gratitude and prosocial behavior have important influence on the healthy development of individuals and society.This study took college students and graduate students as subjects and conducted two surveys.A total of 200 subjects were selected for the study.The subjects were divided into the state gratitude group and the control group.The two groups of respondents received different questionnaires.The purpose of the study is to test the effectiveness of state-giving operation and to explore the relationship between state-giving and prosocial tendencies;On the basis of the study 1,Study 2 introduced the interpersonal trust variables,took 650 subjects by taking advantage of the convenience sampling method,investigated the state of the interpersonal trust induced by the state's gratitude sentiment,and conducted latent variable modeling.The relationship model of state gratitude,interpersonal trust and prosocial tendencies.The results are as follows:(1)The status gratitude operation is effective in this study,and the status gratitude group's immediate emotional experience was significantly induced;(2)There was a significant positive correlation between state gratitude and pro-social tendencies,and the higher the prosocial propensity score of individuals with high state gratitude scores;(3)In the situation of state gratitude evoked,the level of interpersonal trust was moderate upper;(4)Interpersonal trust is an intermediary variable of state gratitude and prosocial tendency,playing a part of mediating role between state gratitude and prosocial tendency.
