Research On The Cultural Source Of The Occurrence Of New Literature

Chen Duxiu and Hu Shi are the flagmen of The New Culture Movement.Mei Guangdi is the founder of The Critical Review,a cultural conservative camp.Chen Duxiu,Hu Shi and Mei Guangdi are three inseparable people in the history of Chinese new literature.From the point of view of cultural origin,this paper chooses the intellectuals Chen Duxiu,Hu Shi and Mei Guangdi in southern Anhui as the objects to discuss the formation of their cultural personality and cultural choice in the era of the alternation of new and old literature,and how the cultural internal driving force of cultural origin in Southern Anhui infuses vitality into the occurrence and development of new literature.Chen Duxiu’s works include old poems and essays.Hu Shi is a pioneer of new literature.Mei Guangdi did not leave his works because of his literary concept of telling but not writing.Chen Duxiu,Hu Shi and Mei Guangdi are not literary creators in a simple sense.From the perspective of cultural choice,they represent three forces of ideological contention in The May Fourth Movement: radicalism,liberalism and conservatism.Like most intellectuals of the same era,the three men received the traditional Chinese education relatively completely,while they studied abroad in their youth.Southern Anhui is one of the important academic thoughts in Qing Dynasty.In their cultural choice,we can see the succession of thoughts between late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,the intense sparks of the collision between old literature and new literature,and the rebellion of the early new intellectuals as the middle of the cultural chain against the difficulties of the old culture,the unconscious transformation and the active choice of the new thoughts.From the point of view of cultural origin,this paper clarifies the ideological motivation behind the cultural choice of the three people and explores the influence of Southern Anhui culture on the occurrence of new literature,so as to explore the complex appearance of the occurrence of new literature to a certain extent.In terms of cultural origin,Chen,Hu,and Mei are rebellious in the form of feedback.As far as China is concerned,they are all warriors like Lu Xun,breaking the dark gate.The emergence of new literature is not a sudden "explosion",but a natural process of maturity.The blood of new literature and traditional Chinese culture is thicker than water.This is only one of the symbols of the vitality of cultural source.From the perspective of cultural geography,exploring the influence of cultural source on writers,works,phenomena,thoughts and schools is still a fertile land that has not been paid attention to.
