A Study Of Chen Duxiu's Cultural Outlook During The New Culture Movement

The May-4th New Culture Movement is a transient flash in the course of history, but it caused dramastic changes in the field of Chinese ideology and culture. As a pioneer of the New Culture Movement, Chen Duxiu started from new youth, advocated"democracy and science"for the ideological revolution, spread the western bourgeois new culture, in order to waken the people in numbness, against the feudal thought and lead Chinese people to concern about the human's dignity, existence value and understanding of human nature.During the hit and conflict between exotic new culture and traditional old culture, Chen Duxiu form very strong cultural innovation consciousness.
