Research On Cheng Jinfang's Literary Thoughts

There were many literary schools in the middle of Qing Dynasty,and the theories and creations of various styles fell out of new ideas.Cheng Jinfang and Yao Nai studied with Liu Dakui,and he was close friends with Yuan Mei,Wu Jingzi,Weng Fanggang and other scholars.They exchanged views and ideas with each other.His achievements in poetry and prose are highly valued by the literary world,and there are many records in Suiyuan poetry talks.The study of Cheng Jinfang's literary thoughts and his creative achievements can enrich the academic research on the dispute between Tang and Song Dynasties,the development of Tongcheng School of literature and other issues,and help to objectively and comprehensively grasp the form and track of literary thoughts in the middle Qing Dynasty.In the early stage(before 35 years old),Cheng Jinfang had a good family.He accepted poetics from Fang Zhenguan and Fang Shiju in Tongcheng,inherited the idea of learning poetry from the plain.In his creation,he focused on the meaning,attached great importance to the creation of artistic conception,and generally took "Zongtang" as the purpose.In terms of prose,he studied ancient prose from Liu Dakui of Tongcheng school,inherited his theory,paid attention to the writing skills of "spirit syllable" and put them into practice.In his middle age(36-53 years old),Cheng Jinfang had a bad career and a rough life,which made him close to and accept Li e's poetics thought of Zhejiang School poet,and turn to Tang and Song Dynasty.The style of li e's "solitary and quiet" poetry is also reflected in his creation of "learning into poetry".At this time,Cheng Jinfang paid more attention to learning Fangbao in ancient Chinese prose.His theory and creation followed the "righteousness method" of Fang family,and also adhered to and embodied his personality.In his later years(54-67 years old),Cheng Jinfang was living in the environment of cultural integration in the late Qianlong Dynasty.In his poems,he also adopted the advantages of others and fused them into Tang and Song dynasties.He became his own family in the style of "Cannes,poetry and love".His prose still abides by the number of Tongcheng school,works with Yao Nai,and creates many excellent works that integrate justice,textual research,articles,and the world.He becomes an important writer of Tongcheng school who supports Yao Nai.The course of Cheng Jinfang's literary thought is in line with the general direction of the poetry circle turning to Song Poetry in the middle of the Qing Dynasty.It is also a partial display of the process of Tongcheng school's inheritance,development and expansion,reflecting the external trend and internal law of the literary history of the Qing Dynasty.
