A Report On The Translation Practice Of The Collection Of Essays "A Floating Talk With God-Remembering Things In Life And Love"

With the extensive development of Sino-Russian cultural exchange activities,mutual appreciation of literary works has also become an important part of cultural exchanges.Prose,as a vital form of literary works,has gained growing attention,which makes prose translation play an increasingly important role in cultural exchanges.The translation material selected in the thesis is a prose collection Date with God at the fire,Talking about life,love and the most important,which was written by Tatyana Ustinova who is a well-known Russian writer,screenwriter,translator,TV presenter,and reporter.She has won many awards in Russia.Originally her works were mostly detective novels.But later her works gradually became diversified.This prose collection with plain language but profound connotation is the spiritual support to Russian readers.The expression in this work selected by the author is terse and precise.Besides it has profound philosophic theories everywhere and certain literary value.At the same time,the content of this work,writing from personal experience,is closely connected with the issues we are concerned about.It shows readers the attitude and thinking toward modern Russians life,and also provides a reference for readers to experience life and pursue life wisdom,which has certain practical significance.In the translation practice report,the author reproduces the translation process of this translation activity,and gives example analyses of solutions to specific problems in the translation process from the three main aspects of vocabulary transformation,grammatical transformation,and vocabulary-grammatical transformation.Through this translation practice,the author hopes to not only improve ability of prosetranslation,but also realize the life wisdom reflected in the work.
