Peer communication is an essential factor to promote children’s socialization. The formation and development of children’s social cognition, social attitude and social ability are closely related to peer communication ability.Because peer communication is not only the important background of children’s social development, but also the content of social development. On the one hand,in the context of peer interaction, children’s own behavior, cognition and emotion can be developed;on the other hand, children will enter peer groups with their own cognitive, behavioral and emotional characteristics, affecting the interaction between children and peers. The success or failure of communication with peers will further affect the development of children, which is a two-way cycle process. The incomplete structure of single parent family leads to the lack of family function, which will bring a series of negative effects on the growth of single parent children, especially young children.Compared with the whole family children, the vast majority of divorced family children will show a lot of bad emotions, which hinder the development of peer communication of single parent children.Based on the theory of social culture and history, social learning theory and family function theory, this study selects a case child X from a kindergarten in Y City to construct a comprehensive intervention program with games as the main intervention means, and to intervene the child X in the case through five progressive stages. So that they can establish a harmonious peer relationship, improve their peer communication ability, and promote their social development.Through the comparison of the observation of peer interaction before and after X intervention and the conversation with his parents and class teachers,it is confirmed that X’s social initiative, language and non-verbal communication skills and pro social ability have been improved, and the social barrier has been weakened, indicating that the comprehensive intervention program has significant effect on improving the peer communication ability of single parent children.
