Research On The Aesthetic Characteristics Of Realism In Zhang Yimou's Films

Based on the theoretical support of realistic aesthetic principles,this paper studies Zhang Yimou’s film works.This paper examines the adaptation of Zhang Yimou’s films to realistic literary works by means of literature research,inductive-deductive and interdisciplinary methods.In general,these internal follow mainly embodies in five aspects: First,the story content of Zhang Yimou’s films mainly comes from realistic literary works;Second,Zhang Yimou’s films show distinct realistic aesthetic features by reinforcing the authenticity of the prelude and beginning,development and peak,and ending of the film,structuring the real-life environment and the typical character image.Third,Zhang Yimou’s film shows the essential reality of the film through many kinds of modeling means,such as color in image modeling,music in sound modeling,montage and long lens in sports modeling.Fourth,Zhang Yimou’s attention to life instinct,the promotion of heroism and the disclosure of social hot issues such as the lack of educational resources in rural areas generally reflect the profound social reality.5.Zhang Yimou films show rich realistic aesthetic value by innovating the new paradigm of "elegant and vulgar coexistence",expressing the characteristics of national culture and constructing "poetry and film".
